This Crystar Mini Camera was made in Japan during the post WW2 era. Originally, the concept of small cameras in Japan at the time was popularized by desire among consumers to save on the expense of large format film. During the 1950’s these were rebranded as spy cameras when they were brought into the US market. This particular item is in very good condition. It’s hard to imagine that something so small which was made 70 years ago could look new today with all of its parts (see interior picture with both reels). We believe that this working camera would make a great conversation piece for small item collector or as an accessory for a doll.
