The first product to carry the Minox name was a subminiature camera, conceived in 1922, and finally invented and produced in 1936, by Baltic German Walter Zapp. The Latvian factory VEF manufactured the camera from 1937 to 1943. From the start the Minox miniature cameras were used as a as a spy camera. I didn’t and couldn’t test this camera so it’s working condition is unknown. There’s a roll of film inside the camera I didn’t have it developed. It could be some secret documents or a family gathering or something naughty. Minox Wetzlar Subminiature Spy Camera. This is a Minox Wetzlar Subminiature Spy Camera from Germany in good used condition. Camera comes with attached chain and has its original leather pouch. It is in excellent condition. Camera seems to work because it makes a clicking sound when I snap the camera button on top. I honestly don’t know how to use it so it’s not been completely tested. Vintage Minox C Spy Camera w/ Chain, Leather Case and Manual, and guidebook. Has not been film tested, but handily passes all functionality tests with a fresh PX27 battery (included). The shutter cycles correctly, the film spool and counter advance, the lens shutter actuates correctly, the shutter speed adjusts automatically based on the cadmium-selenium light detector output, the exposure indicator lamp linked to the light detector functions correctly, and it passes the battery test as described in the manual. The leather sleeve locks onto the cameras mounting nub correctly and includes the distance measuring chain. The original manual and a copy of Small Minox, Big Pictures by Rolf Kasemeier are included.
