NEAR MINT, BEAUTIFUL, BLACK, MINOX B CAMERA WITH CASE, CHAIN, MANUAL AND MAILERS. This is a beautiful, BLACK, Minox B camera in near mint condition. There are only the slightest signs of wear, no scratches, dents or dings. The serial number 668112 indicates it was made in 1960 to 1961 time frame. The shutter works correctly at all speeds. The focus is smooth over the full range from 8 inches to infinity. The meter is very active and appears to be accurate but cannot be guaranteed due to the age of the camera. The lens is clear and free of fogging. The camera has yellow/green and neutral density filters which do not retract when the camera is closed. The BLACK chain is clean and free from any rust or kinks, and showing slight signs of wear. The case is in very good condition, showing minor signs of use and missing the retainer loop for the flap. The user’s manual is in fair condition with no missing pages. Also included are four(4) assorted mailers for film developing. These are long expired, but make a nice addition to a collection. There is an exposed roll of film in the camera, who knows what might be on it? The cassette can be used for reloading film if you decide to use the camera. The first product to carry the Minox name was a subminiature camera, conceived in 1922, and finally invented and produced in 1936, by Baltic German Walter Zapp. The Latvian factory VEF manufactured the camera from 1937 to 1943. From the start the Minox miniature cameras were used as a as a spy camera. I didn’t and couldn’t test this camera so it’s working condition is unknown. There’s a roll of film inside the camera I didn’t have it developed. It could be some secret documents or a family gathering or something naughty.
