I have a pretty decent amount of Minox stuff so it might be wise to start letting go of a few things.. Minox B Black Version, feet/Imperial scale, Complain lens, Green and ND filters. Serial Number: 805 108. Has been stored in case (darkness) to protect light meter and on the lowest shutter speed to reduce wear on mechanism. As a side note, it amazes me at how some sellers can profess that these several decades-old cameras are in’great condition’ while they haven’t even been stored with the lowest shutter speed selected (the non-electronic ones at least). I have a couple cameras that I need to get around to having fixed that have slow/improper shutter operation potentially brought on by how they were stored. Cosmetically, the camera is in decent shape, imperfections here and there. Focus wheel is smooth and free-moving. However, it does not spin completely to the 8 mark. This may be the results of a necessary adjustment by DAG but has never been a problem during use for me. Otherwise it is ready to go and be used! No need to locate costly voltage reducing battery packs such as on the C models as original mercury batteries are not avaliable. I get my film from Blue Moon Camera in Portland, OR. They develop as well if you do not have the facilities to do so. Manuals can be found for free online, although there are great books on using Minox cameras. Please do not hesitate to submit an offer or ask any questions. I want the camera to go to someone new to appreciate it and above all use it! Could make a great holiday gift. GOERZ Minicord 16mm subminiature camera, Austria c1951, serial number 16706, with f2/2.5cm Helgor lens, in gold plated finish, green leather, and case. The Minicord is a 16 mm twin-lens reflex 16 mm subminiature camera introduced by C. Goerz of Austria in 1951. It’s one of the highest quality subminiatures ever built. Slightly larger than a pack of cigarettes (114mm L, 71mm D, 71mm W), it sports one of the sharpest lenses ever made for subminiature cameras, a six-element coated Helgor 25mm F2 lens, focusing from 12 inches to infinity. A depth of field table is built into the camera panel. Aperture 2, 2.8, 4, 5.6, 8, 11. The viewing lens is in sync with the taking lens. Light rays entering the viewing lens are refracted by a prism and form a bright, life-size image on a piece of ground glass; the eyepiece is diopter adjustable for sharp image. Unlike an ordinary twin lens reflex camera, the Goerz Minicord image is not only right side up, but also unreversed, due to the use of a prism instead of mirror. The Minicord is the only twin lens reflex camera in 16 mm subminiature history. All-metal focal plane shutter, speeds B, 1/10, 1/25, 1/50/, 1/100, 1/200 and 1/400. The proprietary Minicord cassettes take a double-perforated 16mm film, producing around 40 frames of a 10mm x 10mm image size. This allows the photographer to use the camera either in horizontal or vertical position. A swinging arm on base plate was also provided for better grip. The Minicord finish was basically silver metal with black leatherette but many variants were made in small batches, including this SUPER RARE gold plated version and green leather, the rarest of all. Camera is astonishingly beautiful. The exterior is very clean with very little wear and with no bad issues nicks, dents etc. The camera has just been serviced (Sept 2020) for good working order. Focus is precisely achievable. Speeds are spot on. Glass is crystal clear.
