Shutter: Curtain metal, with shutter speeds of 1/30, 1/60 and 1/200 seconds. Flash: Synchro contact “X”, sync speed – any. Dimensions: 83×43.5×24.5 mm. Lens: Industar-M f-3.5/23 mm with fixed focal length (fix), coated, optical design consists of 4 lenses in 3 groups. Aperture: Double-blade, with a removable filter. Film: The camera is loaded with 16 mm film (110 mm format) 45 cm long in a special plastic cassette that holds 20 frames. This example is in original vintage condition, no dent and the gravity shutter and other features work. A rare and collectible camera. The all metal oval shaded Presto camera was manufactured by Magic Introduction Co. (NY) in 1896 who also manufactured the’Photoret’. Designed by Herman Casler, based upon his British patent of 17th December 1895 (#24157). Dimensions 3.25x225x1.75ins (8.5x6x4.5cms). It offered 25 28x28mm exposures on roll film or 4 glass plates. Meniscus lens with rotating front stops. Single speed gravity shutter that was reset by turning the camera over and back again. Its simplicity was noted in the advertisements “a child can operate it”.
