Here’s a RARE Rollei Compact 16mm Film Camera— a camera from the mid 1960’s, made in Germany. It has a Carl Zeiss. 25mm f/2.8 Tessar lens. It comes with it’s original Strap and soft fitted case. Check out the last photo—- an Ad from July, 1966 National Geographic. I’m not very familiar with this camera, have not shot any actual photos with it and I’m not a Camera Store technician. But I can tell you it’s in Very Good Cosmetic Condition with only a few very slight flaws that don’t detract from it too badly— just a few light rub marks and a few tiny nicks but no dents or big damage. Look at the pics…. If I didn’t mention them you probably wouldn’t have noticed. Functionally, it cocks and fires when I cycle it, but I don’t see any shutter speed controls— maybe it’s only one speed? I don’t know. The aperture changes as it should, and the focus works. The viewfinder is also bright and clear a nd the lens glass looks Gorgeous— crystal clear with brilliant coatings! So it seems good to go, but I have not shot any film with it and it has not been “bench tested” for accuracy. So that’s about all I can tell you— I’m not too familiar with all the nuances of this camera, but it seams to operate reasonably well, and it’s a rare bird. Comes with the zippered case and the strap and a film cartridge inside (I don’t know if anything is in it). What you see is what you’ll get— please examine the photos. I’ve been a photographer for 30+ years and I know how cameras work and what to look for and can recognize when something is broken. But I can’t “Bench Test” everything to factory specs, and understand every little bell and whistle. Any significant defects that I know of are either pictured or described to the best of my knowledge and I try to be detailed and truthful, but I can’t describe every every millimeter of it. As expected with age, a used vintage camera could be found with a nick or blemishes here and there or a few additional specs of dust inside that I failed to mention, particularly inside the viewfinder… But they won’t affect the photos and would hardly diminish it… Unless you expect everything to be 100% Perfect. Unless it’s Brand New… I can’t guarantee that every single aspect may be Perfect… Especially when it’s a 50+ year old item! And if it was brand new the price would be 50% higher. What you see is what you’ll get and I package my items well, so it arrives in the same condition as shown. Let’s make a deal.
