VINTAGE STEKY IIIB 16mm Sub-Miniature Camera with 2.5cm f/3.5 Lens & Case
This Camera is in excellent working condition. The leather around the camera is dry and torn as pictured. This camera was launched in 1947 by Riken Kogaku (Richo), Japan and used 16mm film. After the war in Japan, midget cameras whose picture size was 14 x 14mm got a large popularity among the soldiers of the Occupation Forces from the U. But most of them were of poor quality and no more than toys. It was then that Steky was produced as a high-quality camera. While the other midget cameras used 17.5 mm-wide film with leader paper, Steky adopted the film cartridge into which 16 mm-wide rolled film was inserted. And the picture size of Steky was 10 x 14mm. In addition, although the frame counter on the camera side has the scale up to 24 exp. It takes up to 20 exposures in most of the cases using the 45 cm-long 16 mm film. First introduced in 1947 by Riken Kogagu (Richo). Camera type : 16mm miniature camera. Lens : Stekinar Anastigmat f3.5/25mm (three-element), f5.6/40mm lens are also available. Another item from Country Artifacts, Great Northern Liquidation, Springfield, Vermont. Vintage 1957 Minolta 16 Rokkor Subminiature (spy) Camera, Japan, Rokkor 3.5/25 Lens & More. After the initial Minolta 16 Automat, this camera was introduced in 1957, and was superseded three years later by the Minolta 16-II and 16 P. Includes the camera, film in the camera, film out of the camera, filter kit, the small parts wrapped in paper, case, paperwork, and the curled roll of negatives shown. I don’t know if the camera is working, but it does seem to shoot a picture when push/pull wound and the button is pushed. I imagine the optics need cleaning as does the exterior of the camera. More restoration may be needed as well. The camera measures approximately 3-1/2″ long x 2″ wide x 1 deep. Unpacked weight & size: 7.5oz. Packed weight & size: 15oz.
