We believe this would be considered a subminiature camera, though it is larger in size than the Minox cameras. On the one side, it is marked “Gami16″ and also “Made In Italy”. On the base, it has “Nr340104″ and also “Patented”. The camera measures about four & a half inches long. On the top is a small button. When pushed, the one side of the camera opens. This part then becomes the handle. This also seems to cock the shutter of the camera and advance the film. The lens is marked “Esamitar 1:1.9 /25″. We are unsure of the exact vintage of this camera, but it may be from the 1960s. The exterior of the camera is in very good condition. A few minor rub marks. There is some minor plating loss to the top of the wheel that is used for focusing. The exterior might benefit from a gentle cleaning. We followed the instruction manual and tried the shutter of the camera at different speeds- everything appears to work fine. Comes with two instruction manuals- one in English, and one in Italian. And also an accessory booklet- this is in Italian. And a booklet about film for the Gami- this is in Italian as well. Also comes with a small black case which is probably the original case, but is unmarked. The photos above are not the best, but we hope that they will help those who are interested.
